4th International Cool Masters

On June 19, 2010 the already established golf tournament “International Cool Masters” was hosted by Bock and Roller. The compressor manufacturer Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH from Frickenhausen and the Walter Roller GmbH & Co., manufacturer of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems from Gerlingen, invited business partners to a joint golf tournament in Kircheim unter Teck.

Numerous national and international golf enthusiastic customers and suppliers accepted the invitation. Participants started the day at the breakfast buffet in the clubhouse of the Golf Club Kirchheim-Wendlingen before heading out to the 18-hole championship course for the match.

For the „not-yet-golfers“, a taster course was offered at the same time on the driving-range followed by a putting competition.

For the first time, the event was not blessed with good weather and the Cool Masters had to be played in the rain. Despite the wetness, all participants stayed during the whole game and did not lose their sense of humour.

Right on time for the award ceremony, the weather got better. Ms. Susanne Pöschl won in the women’s gross class with a score of 12 points. The winner of the men’s gross class was Klaus Öchsner (Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH), with 30 gross points.

The following participants each won a prize with their net score: in class A Alfred Trzmiel (Hofer Mechatronik GmbH), Lothar Österle (Logwin AG) and Michael Max Millbrodt, in class B Reiner Millbrodt (REISS Kälte - Klima GmbH & Co. KG), Andreas Koring (Inter-UnionTechnohandel GmbH) and Rita Bauer. In class C Terje Nybo (Ullstrøm-Fepo AS Refrigeration Eng.), Wolfgang Etter (Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH) and Ulrike Barthelmess (Walter Roller GmbH & Co.).

Another highlight of the day was the handing-over of the donations in the amount of €1,000 by Bock and Roller to the foundation of young golfers of the Golf-Club Kirchheim-Wendlingen.

After a shared dinner with 110 participants and guests, trips worth more than € 2.000 and other valuable non-cash prizes were given away in a raffle.

“The Cool Masters golf tournament has developed into an established event. Despite the rain, we and our guests once again had many nice opportunities for meeting and socializing. The overwhelming response and great atmosphere encourages us to host a tournament again next year”, says Klaus Öchsner, Sales Director Mobile Compressors at Bock and co-organizer of the golf tournament.
