ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award 2010

Win 10.000 EURO for the top concept

Due to the high level of participation and the success in previous years the Association of European Refrigeration Component Manufacturers (ASERCOM) announces once again its sponsorship of the ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award.

The association recognises an outstanding innovative concept for energy efficiency improvement. Over the lifetime of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, energy consumption makes a greater contribution to the production of greenhouse gases than HFC refrigerant direct emissions. In Europe, for example, such systems account for approximately 14% of the overall power consumption. Hence, efficiency improvement is our industry’s primary responsibility in the reduction of emissions.

The € 10.000 award is granted for the most innovative energy saving concept or system in refrigeration/air conditioning, including heat pumps. An international panel of technical experts will evaluate the applications. Applications must present a new concept which is technically feasible and economically viable.
