Bock pledges 10,000 Euro for earthquake victims in China
On June 20 this year, Klaus Öchsner, Sales Manager for Mobile Applications
at Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH presented the “Youth Development Fund” of the
Zhejiang Province with a cheque for 10,000 Euro.
“As soon as our
subsidiary Bock China told us of the magnitude of the earthquake, the company
management gathered and decided to pledge an amount of 10,000 Euro for the
victims of this catastrophe“, reports Klaus Öchsner.
This is the kind of
commitment with which the Frickenhausen-based family firm has been meeting its
social obligation for several years in numerous projects all over the world.
According to the “Youth Development Fund”, the company’s donation will
be used to build four classrooms at the “Hope Primary School“. A scheme that
will serve to educate 90 pupils and hence contribute something towards the
vocational future for these earthquake victims.
Bock has been supplying
Chinese customers with coolant compressors used primarily in bus
air-conditioning systems since as far back as 1993.
Having established a
sales office in Shanghai in 2003, 2006 saw the company commence its own
production facilities in Hangzhou, which today boasts an annual production
capacity of 20,000 compressors.
