Natural refrigerants in the focus of the food retail industry
When the EuroShop 2011, the world’s biggest trade fair for the investment
needs of the retail industry, closed its doors, one fact was obvious: what
already developed to be a trend in the last few years presented itself to be a
mega trend at this year’s EuroShop 2011 – almost all product news of the
refrigeration and deep freezing industry at the EuroShop were based on the use
of natural refrigerants. Particularly CO2.
Among the 2.000 exhibitors of the fair, the who-is-who of retail suppliers of
the areas of refrigeration units and refrigeration systems as well as numerous
component manufacturers. Bock was also present as one of the pioneers when it
comes to compressor technology for natural refrigerants.
At the Bock booth in hall 17, the company presented different compressor
solutions for the use of natural refrigerants and energy efficient systems.
Among those solutions were compressors optimised especially for the
refrigerant R134a for hybrid systems, the efficiency optimised compressors of
the e-series, the Plug & Play EFC system and numerous compressor solutions
for the use of hydrocarbons and CO2 as a refrigerant.
Berthold Schnase, responsible for national sales, draws a positive balance of
the 5 days at the trade fair: “the EuroShop is the ideal platform to present our
new solutions in the area of supermarket refrigeration. We had many promising
contacts with target customers at our booth and see a lot of potential in our
new 4-Zylinder CO2 compressors.“
