Bock starts online version of a CO2 compressor selection program

Selection programs to find the right compressor for the corresponding system's requirements are numerous. All renowned manufacturers have been offering their customers specially developed free programs for years. Until recently, everyone that wanted to use those programs had to have the respective program and install it on a hard disk.

More and more programs now work directly in the internet browser without the need to install anything. This development is recognizable in all areas and certainly does not stop at software for special fields such as compressor selection programs. For the first time, Bock offers with its compressor selection program for CO2 a selection-tool that works just with the browser and without an installation. Whether you work with Windows, Mac or another operating system. The advantages of the tool are convincing: it puts an end to overfilled hard disks and no matter where you use a pc, you have direct access to the newest data as soon as you are online. This way you don't have to deal with updates or outdated information of old software.

CO2 Software as a first step
As a first step towards this technology, Bock presents the online software of its compressor selection program especially for subcritical and transcritical CO2 applications since August 2010. A consequent step because Bock already offers numerous innovative compressor solutions for the use with this refrigerant that has grown in importance in the last few years. Especially with such new technologies, the strengths of the system become apparent because the data of the software is always up-to-date.

Following the CO2 selection program is an online-software for the whole compressor program by Bock that constitutes a whole new generation of the already established VAP software that was only available for installation until now.

The advantages of a web-based online-software compared to the installation option are without question for Bock. However, Bock still wants to offer both possibilities in the future. Bock Head of Marketing Eric Frese: “We are aware that there is still a large number of users worldwide that only have limited internet access. To provide those users with an easy tool, we will continue to offer an offline version of the VAP software for download on our website.”
