Bock Compressors at the World Cup 2010 -
Helping fans to keep cool
The Word Cup 2010 is starting soon and the last preparations are made to be
prepared for the large number of visitors from around the world.
To improve the often criticised infrastructure until the start of the World
Cup, South Africa is spending 2 billion Euro – an investment that also German
companies benefit from. About 600 buses, 468 by Mercedes-Benz and 110 by MAN
were ordered and have to be delivered until summer.
For the climatization of those vehicles, the German company Bock
Kältemaschinen GmbH, with headquarters in Frickenhausen got a major order to
provide the compressors for the World Cup buses.
Bock vehicle compressors of the FK series are the result of decades of
experience in mobile refrigeration. Particularly when it comes to bus
air-conditioning, they are the standard of all renowned manufacturers and are
especially useful for extreme conditions such as in South Africa.
Therefore the buses equipped with Bock compressors will make sure that the
fans keep cool on their way to the games.
The investments in transportation and infrastructure are intended to have a
lasting positive impact on the country's economic situation and sustainable
development and are supposed to further open up South Africa to tourism.
