Increasing the maximal tolerable overpressure of subcritical semi-hermetic compressors

Due to the high pressure of the refrigerant CO2, dependent on the ambient temperature at the standstill of the system, the maximum tolerable standstill high pressure on the low pressure side (LP) and the high pressure side (HP) is increased. The standstill high pressure on the low pressure side (LP) of the HGX CO2 series remains unchanged at 27 bar.

Those pressure rises allow for a flexible use of the refrigerant CO2 and an increased safety of the system at standstill.

Introduction in the series: September 2010

For the operation of the subcritical CO2 compressors the same operating limits apply.

The compressors are fully exchangeable and will therefore be offered with the same article number than the previous designs.

All the other technical data remains unchanged.

The pressure rise of the maximum standstill high pressure is displayed on the name plate.

The new version ID for the described changes is 026.
