Sustainable into the future - Bock at the Chillventa 2010
Following the theme „Responsible Refrigeration“, compressor specialist Bock
presented at this year’s Chillventa from 13 -15 October 2010
environmentally-friendly refrigeration- and air-conditioning systems.

At the Chillventa, the who-is-who of the refrigeration, air-conditioning,
ventilation and heat pump industry met to find out about and discuss newest
technologies, innovative products and solutions for energy efficiency.
With a record number of 880 exhibitors and 29.000 visitors the Chillventa
demonstrated that the refrigeration- and air-conditioning industry is on a good
way and recovered quickly from the economic crisis.
The positive atmosphere and the upturn of the industry were also noticeable
at the Bock booth. On more than 200m2 Bock presented solutions for the use of
natural refrigerants such as CO2 and hydrocarbons and efficiency-optimised
compressors.
With this focus, Bock underlined the general theme of the Chillventa – energy
efficiency and natural refrigerants.
Bock presented for the first time its new model HG34 CO2 T – a compressor
especially for transcritical CO2 applications. With numerous technical details
this model sets new standards when it comes to efficiency and running comfort in
the area of transcritical CO2 compressors.
Two new product series with a focus on energy efficiency were presented by
Bock. Compressors optimised for the refrigerant R134a that ensure a
significantly higher efficiency and models of the e-series. Those compressors
are trendsetting in ways of motor efficiency, gas flow and efficiency of the
valve system.
Because of the present interest in the topic energy efficiency, the awarded
Bock EFC-system was in the centre of attention of the Chillventa visitors as
well. With the automatic adaptation of the capacity of the compressor to its
current requirements, this system reduces the energy consumption by 25% or more.

The optimistic atmosphere and the high level of participation of
exhibitors and visitors, helped the Chillventa to strengthen its name as
the leading trade fair of the refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation and
heat pump industry.
At the end of the Chillventa, Bock manager and chairman of the Chillventa
Exhibition Committee could also draw a positive conclusion: “The Chillventa 2010
was a great success for exhibitors around the world. We had the right kind
visitors at the booth’s and very qualified discussions. The atmosphere at the
Chillventa is trendsetting for the industry.”
Bock is already looking forward to the next Chillventa that will take place
from 09 -11 October 2012 in Nuremberg.
