Bock at Australia's leading HVAC trade fair ARBS
The Airconditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services Exhibition (ARBS) in
the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre, Darling Harbour is Australia's
biggest event of its kind and presents news in the field of heating,
air-conditioning and cooling to experts every two years.
About 10,000 people are expected to visit the trade fair from April 12.-14.
2010 and can get information on new technologies, innovations, products and
services and participate in seminars.
The main focus of the trade fair is on new technologies and energy efficiency
and Bock will present new products and solutions around this and other topics as
well.
Solutions made in Australia - Compressors made in
Germany
Bock Australia Pty. Ltd., the Australian subsidiary of the German company
Bock Kältemaschinen GmbH, offers already for some time a PlusBox that has Plug
& Play condensing units especially designed for the Australian market. A
model of success that will be increasingly promoted according to Bock sales
Manager Thomas Hagenlocher. At ARBS, Bock will present the PlusBox that has also
been manufactured in Australia.
Awarded for the protection of the environment – the Bock
EFC-System
With the EFC System, Bock offers a Plug&Play frequency converter solution
for a continuous rotation speed control of the compressor. A system that has an
energy saving potential of 25% and more and was awarded by German Environmental
Minister Dr. Norbert Röttgen with an innovation price.
The EFC-System is the leading Plug&Play solution for a continuous
capacity regulation of refrigeration compressors and successfully established on
the market since 7 years.
A solution that Bock offers now for the complete series of semi-hermetical
compressors, from 2 – 8 cylinder models.
Natural refrigerants are on the advance – CO2 and
hydrocarbons
In many parts of Europe they are already standard for many applications and
even worldwide they are met with an increasing interest – natural refrigerants.
Especially CO2 applications have gone through a rapid development and
subcritical CO2 applications are meanwhile the state of the technology.
Besides CO2, also non-halogenated hydrocarbons such as butane (R600/R600a) or
propane (R290) have gained in importance. Due to their flammability, larger
applications were rarely built in the past because of the required safety
measures.
Bock presents now for the first time its semi-hermetic compressors that
consider those safety measures and are especially modified for the use with
those refrigerants.
Certified Safety – Bock compressors for explosive
environments
In environments where an explosive atmosphere as a mixture of air, flammable
gases, steams or exhalations is prevalent, special regulations have to be
applied, such as the ATEX Directives of the European Union.
Such atmospheres do not only occur in the chemical industry, mining or the
petroleum industry. Also in large parts of the manufacturing industry so-called
ATEX zones are found.
As the only European manufacturer, Bock offers a broad program of special
ATEX-variations with its semi-hermetic compressor series HG.
