Compressor software of the future –
Bock presents its VAP program as online-software

Tomorrow’s software will be provided in many cases through the global availability of the internet. In the future it will be enough to just log in with an internet browser and start working right away. Time consuming installations are then a thing of the past. The software will be available with every PC, Netbook, Cellphone or Mac that is connected to the Internet. And the best – you will never miss important updates and improvements of the software. You just access the latest data automatically – without inconvenient downloads and installations.

With the software VAP 9.0 available at the end of December 2010, Bock offers you the future of software already today.

Selection programs to find the right compressor for the corresponding system's requirements are numerous. All renowned manufacturers have been offering their customers specially developed free programs for years. Until recently, everyone that wanted to use those programs had to have the respective program and install it on a hard disk.

After introducing a compressor selection software especially for CO2 compressors as a first developing stage of online software in the middle of 2010, Bock presents now as a next step VAP 9.0, an online version of its standard compressor selection software VAP.

New in Version 9.0 is also the data of the new, efficiency optimised Bock compressor of the e-series as well as the expanded series HG12P CO2. Shortly, the compressor series especially optimised for the refrigerant R134a and the compressor series for hydrocarbons (HC-compressors) will be included.

The advantages of a web-based online-software compared to the installation option are without question for Bock. However, Bock still wants to offer both possibilities in the future. Bock Head of Marketing Eric Frese: “We are aware that there is still a large number of users worldwide that only have limited internet access. To provide those users with an easy tool, we will offer an offline version of the VAP Version 9.0 for download in spring 2011.
